I have used both RSTs and Polywads with fine results since I shoot older guns. I would be interested in any comparisons/evaluations/preferences from members of this board. Thanks. Will

I've used both with success. Have no preferences as to quality. No problems with either. SpredRs put a lot of "confetti" on the ground, but work great otherwise.

I like the Polywads but that is because they are so much cheaper. Haven't had any issues with either quality-wise.

RST typically has a larger payload than Vintager's. But be sure to consider Gamebore for their Diamond shot.

RST has a larger variety of shells within gauges, but the basic, equivalent loads of each mfg. are in the same price range with Polywad being a buck cheaper per box in the 16 gauge 7/8 oz. load. Both companies have excellent service and fine products. Gil

I concur with Stan regarding the confetti of the SpredRs. I shot some 28 ga. ones and thought there was a party! I use RST 1 oz. papers in #7 & #5 in my 12 ga. for my bird hunting and have been very satisfied with them. The delightful smell comforts me when I miss a bird. Karl

Regarding the SpredRs, I should point out that they do pattern very well for spreaders. Last time I made it to the Fall Southern in Georgetown I qualified for the L C Smith team, in the challenge match, shooting my 16 ga. Smith choked x-full and x-full, using the SpredRs on every presentation on the five stand there. They seem to be very consistent.

I like RST. I shoot them in all of my guns, antique and modern. Apart from a few special hunting and 16 ga loads rolled in my basement, it is alI I shoot. In fact, I just faxed in my annual order for pickup at the southern side by side. If you are attending this event and want to purchase some shells, it is a great way to avoid shipping and tax. I began ordering in advance this way after a few years of sellouts at the RST tent!

The first thing I do after setting up at the Southern SxS is head to the RST tent for ammo. I repeat that at the Northeast, but they don't run out there since the factory is just down the road in Friendsville. I find the shells do their job if I do mine for both clays and real birds in the field. Although II have no fault with Polywad I will remain loyal to Morris Baker and RST. They sponsor shoots I attend and Morris has provided the Lefever Arms Collectors Association with cases of shells for prizes and is an all around good guy.
