I received this message from our good friend Alain Daubbresse We started that informative website and now we have more than 1,5 million visitors a year, it became actually the world's largest website in its category.
We always endeavour to give accurate and verifiable answers; which I assume is the reason of our success.
After ten years of search and storage for information, I started to write.
The fourth book of the encyclopaedia “Ličge gunmakers through their work” - 1800-1950” have just left.
See: http://www.littlegun.be/livres/a%20a%20livre%20alain%20general.htm for all the details.
The public selling price by book is of 29 Euros.
More than 1200 books are already sold, success was immediate.
You can also obviously buy them only for you.
If you wish more information don't hesitate to contact me:
Alain Daubresse
alantrigger01@hotmail.comI do not yet own a copy so asking me if they are worth the price is hopeless. In reality this is his 3rd book in the series. He intends to do a 4th book. Pete

Fox, It stands for "just another Belgian clunker", it was one of Russ's phrases that just sorta caught on. Don't know that it is used anywhere else but here, but I could be wrong.

Good to see you posting again Pete. Thanks, I appreciate that. I would like to complete my research. To do so will require at least one more trip to Belgium. When I first started here, no one could tell me what all those markings were on Belgian guns. No one could say with any proof this is the way they made those damascus barrels. Maybe I had a hand in informing others, perhaps not. In either case I am glad I did the research. I am hoping to start going to a few gun shows and get people talking there.... We have had some very knowledgeable folks exchanging ideas. I hope it continues. I still believe this forum has great potential. Pete

There are some great Belgium guns and makers but far to many get thrown into the pile with the label, Guild Gun, with its maker, a master craftsman, unidentified.
