From the guns I looked at, he's way over priced. Seems worse than that. I looked at a bunch, and he may be disconnected from reality.

My feeling FWIW has always been this is a social site where people who love SXS's and admire craftsmanship share a common table amongst themselvs. The for sale area always seemed to be a place where the odd gun is offered to people of similar mind, as much for discussion as for sale/trade. The members of the board have always been good at encouraging a sense of propriaty and decorum amongst themselvs. I am sure it will work this time as well.

Don't usually go on to the FS thread but I do have to say that it looks like a petty minded second hand car dealer is taking the piss.If Mr. Weber allows this to go on I think it will bring the site into disrepute.IF I wanted to buy a gun off anyone I would go on their website or telephone them.Or I could post lots of adverts for MY business of course.Please delete his posts now, they are way overpriced anyway.I would give them the credit they were due if Ed had Torched them.

The occasional small breach of the "rules" (pumpguns and at least one pump rifle) is tolerated. First the crack, then the trickle, then the facilitator of pieds a terre. Who knew?

I just wish each of you would pull out a double from your collection. Just let you mind wander & dream of all the hunts it had, all the fathers and grand fathers showing it to their sons and grandsons before a roaring fire. All the hands that cleaned and caressed it. All the skilled hands that made it and repaired it when it was broken. Those are the things that fascinate me.
