I am partial to puffing on a cigar when I am out shooting on a cold winter's day and I like to offer one to my companions.
I anticipate a few American visitors this season coming and would appreciate some advice.
Mty cigar of choice is a Cohiba robusto or a Montecristo, or indeed a Cohiba Club.
Is it 'un-American' to smoke Cuban cigars even when not in the USA? If so, what do you favour as alternatives. I smoke the occasional Davidoff, which are not bad. Thoughts appreciated.

Most American cigar smokers would happily smoke a Cuban cigar. Hospitality is just that, so, offer away. A gracious host, indeed. Best, Ted

Dig, Absolutely not! Smoking a true high quality Cuban is a delight that I take pleasure in when out of the US, usually on a cruise. While I am not all that familiar with the names, there are a bunch of darned decent alternatives.

I myself smoke a pipe, but I have had a Cuban a time or two when I went to Canada, I see no real problem, to be honest there are a few that compare to Cubans. Anyway, I think in a short time the point will be moot, the old B***** will be kicking the bucket soon and Cuba will be free again.
Have fun and good luck!!

If they took offence, I'm sure they would still want you to blow the smoke their way!

Imagine if Cuba were to become 'free' the amount of human garbage that would show up on our shores.

The idea that if el heffe drops dead that they will be free is next to nada. The people there are just as BS'd as we are.

Un-American, no, simply illegal if the American smokes it. However, I can not recall the last time that part of the law was actually inforced, if ever.
I prefer Padron Serie 1926 #1.

That would be quite a treat for many. I heard that right before the embargo was put in place, Kennedy had a few boxes of cubans delivered. Probably not true, but an interesting story nonetheless.
