For quite a while I thought it was a good idea to end Misfires, and I encouraged Dave to drop it. I've changed my mind and would like to see it return. We need a space here to air our differences. If there is no dialog, there is no chance to get beyond the stalemate that plagues us all. I would like to see Dave police the other sections of the site in order to confine all personal and political posts to a single location.

You need to be specific....are you discussing liberalism as it is espoused by the Left today or are you talking about Classic Liberalism, which is the foundational philosophy of our modern, democratic western world.

That's a remarkably poor bit of evidence, Bill. Maybe more useful might be the performance of the school systems in Democratic dominated cities across the US. I suspect that would tell and interesting story, one Democrats would rather not talk about much.
