"Smart" is not a word that has been associated with SF government for a long, long, time. I give you a pass on a lot of issues, but I'm losing faith in your acumen.

Republicans left California a long ago. NY as well. Complete Democratic control for years. You may have pockets of republicans but not very many anymore. So trying to blame California's state on them, is unfair. Is it fair to be mad when one state refuses to enforce immigration laws but turns around and demands money to help pay for all the expenses illegal immigrants cost? 2/3 of your prison population is Hispanic. Your immigrants cost far more than they produce. Get your immigration problem under control. You can't invite them all in to live with you and expect everyone else to pay for it.

So if you are blaming Republicans in the rest of the country for not sending more money to California to fix a problem they created for themselves you are a nut. If you thought Republicans only would like cheap labor you need to update your thinking. Gone are the days of 100% union members being and supporting the Democratic Party. A few still do like teachers and government employees but most of the working trades are much more conservative. They might be registered as Democratic but when that current closes they don't vote that way.

As to tax reform my savings are trivial. The big money is in hedge funds, stocks and investments. Mine is mostly in land which has taken me 49 years to acquire and improve and kids educations. If I were in the 1% I'd be getting fitted by H&H for a couple matched pairs not working full time at my age.

Bill, I don't think you've been to cali recently. A few years back, I visited an elderly aunt in the anahiem area. Her neighborhood was a nice middle class area, it's beat now. Very poor infrastructure maintenance. There's an operating mall near her covered with graffiti, most of the exterior windows are bordered up and tons of vacancies in it. But hey, I'm sure there are a few nicer areas.

The current administration gets hammered by the 'press' 24/7. Don't you think all lies from the current President are gone over with a fine tooth comb. The real point to this is to ask, when are you going to keep the democrats honest? If lying were an olympic sport, the dems wouldn't qualify, they'd demand an exception, wouldn't they?

We've already 'discussed' what transplanted cali dems are doing to Western Montana. Good folks, salt of the earth, or filthy rich progressives putting property values out of the reach of your grandkids. No, not yours personally, just all the rest of the regular folks.

Our state ( I was born in Jersey, but, my Dad got me out as a tot ) may actually be bust, as we speak.

Dad always said Jersey was the best place in the world to be from. In 57 years, I haven't seen anything to convince me he was wrong.

Hi Ted,
When I moved here from New York in '73 it was a haven. No income tax, reasonable real estate tax, real estate less costly compared to New York. Now it has the highest taxes in the country and close to the most expensive real estate in the country. I made a good living doing what my handle name says. I would move in a minute if my kids had not established themselves here. A fellow who earned his living here and bought a home could move to another state with lower real estate prices and taxes and do well. The gun laws alone............need I say more.

These Kalifornians who are here whining are the same guys who have in the past been very critical of the NRA and Pro-2nd Amendment Republicans. They are getting exactly what they deserve.

It's no surprise to see rocky mtn bill jumping in to dishonestly blame the slide of Kalifornia into the sewer of Socialism on the Republicans. This is one of our Libtard FUDD's who actually think you can consider yourself pro-gun while supporting and voting for the most extreme anti-gunners who populate the modern day Leftist Democrat Party. Bill has been caught numerous times posting absolute lies and has either excused them as mere mistakes, or more frequently, simply disappeared when corrected. This is also the same little turd who recently accused me of lying about the lubrication for an MMC Electric Checkering tool.

Perhaps Keith knew that. Perhaps he was merely lying.

No Bill, I was not lying. The tiny gearbox was originally lubricated with a special grease intended for high speed dental tools, and the now deceased owner of MMC, Jon Doiron offered a repair service to replace that grease if the handpiece began running hot. Like any grease, it dried out and deteriorated over time. I still have a letter from him on his letterhead to prove it... if you'd like to make a very substantial wager. We could let Dave Weber judge its' authenticity. It took me quite a bit of time to find a suitable replacement lubricant, and it was rather expensive stuff. I still have no desire to share that information with anyone who stabs us in the back by supporting anti-gunners. Of course, most dental drills now run at much higher rpm than the 17,000 max rpm of an MMC tool, and they use a synthetic oil instead of a grease. If you are stupid enough to run those tiny precision gears and bearings under load at up to 17,000 input rpm from a Foredom CC without any lubrication, go right ahead. You're obviously dumber than I thought.

By the way, accusing me of stooping to your level was a very lame and low class way to back away from your latest lie about the Republican Party not doing anything to help the little guy since Lincoln. You are more pathetic than ever.

Predictably, Bill did not respond to my substantial wager challenge. Nor did he respond to facts I posted about numerous things the Republican Party has done for women, minorities, and "the little guy. He did what he normally does, and slipped out the back door.

One thing that will not change in 2018... or ever... is that Libtards cannot stand the truth.

A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.

Ammo is unrestricted in California if it entered the United States undocumented from one of the seven countries subject to the Trump travel ban
