!!!!! 9lb+ ???? My God!! And not taking the gun down for a broken target is simply bad practice anyway.

Maybe I'm remembering the weight wrong. I've got doubles over 9#, but you've got me doubting myself, now. I'm going out to the shop and weigh it. I've got a brand new trigger in it, anxious to shoot it tomorrow morning, so it's sitting out.

I'll report back on the exact weight in a few.

9 lbs. 3.7 oz., unloaded, and handles like a champ.

As to putting the gun down after a broken target, if the trap breaks more than one, I will. But, I am sufficiently strong still to hold my mount while I call "Pull", to see if it comes the second try. You've obviously shot long enough, Charles, to know that whatever is an individual shooter's procedure, he needs to stick to it, unless it is costing him targets. This is how I do it, and it works pretty darned good. My average for the entire last year, for registered and non-registered sporting clays, was a fudge over 93%. This included big shoots, S x S shoots, sub-gauge shoots, and practice.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'll stick to my way of doing things until my instructor, Bill McGuire, tells me I ought to do different.

All my best, SRH
