I'm down to 3 1100's. They all have the diamond grip cap. The newer ones are a mess. The newer .410 1100 is useless as delivered and Remington cannot fix them. They went to a sintered part that operates under shear load. Guess what happens. Just guess.

I love the old Remington 'machine blue' like is found on Model 31's and the Model 11. Those guns even heavily used retain blue where Winchesters do not.

I just hope the STS and Gun Club line of shotshells can be saved, and likewise Remington headstamped rifle brass. Those are good products.
