I'm seeing prices all over the place on various web sites. $29.99 up to $600. My bet is that the ones advertised for the low prices won't "ship within 2-3 days." I'm taking my Supers out of the safe to make room for the book. The many sites that have $29.99 on the price were put up when the publisher had promised the paperback version, but then didn't/couldn't deliver. I don't know why the paperback never came out, but suspect a dispute between them and the author. I've searched for a second copy of this book many times on the net over the last couple years. I bought my pristine copy just before Xmas '05 for $25 on ebay. Even then, the price was more along the $75 and up range. So, I figure the bookstore that I bought it from didn't know the average market price.

You beat me on the price. I got mine for forty bucks yesterday in Aberdeen South Dakota. I feel fortunate though as I woulden't spend north of 200.00 on that book. I don't have a Superposed and won't get one but any history is good material to know.

Might could be a difference between signed, giltedged, slipcased, limited 1st ed. of 100 @ $1250 and the garden variety bookstore copy. Still, 3-400 would be a handsome return on investment.

I wonder how many are actually being sold at the $200 plus prices? With the advent of the internet market, all competitors can see a seller's prices. I wonder if the continueing price increases are simply a result of internet sellers percieving a market that will pay these prices, when in reality, they are bumping each other up in their prices with no sales at those prices?
Does anyone know someone who purchased one of these books for over $200 ?

I will not be oversold. If you can buy it for more, I'll match that price. Interesting strategy. Undoubtedly has some application to derelict Fox guns also.

Anyone have originals of the B-25 Superposed Field Service Manual? What will mine bring (as a collector item)? Don't feel shy as I'll gladly consider offers of ten times what I paid.

We old double gun guys are dying off at such a great rate, I have no idea how books get so expensive. Keep in touch with the widows and orphans. When I go, my books and research files will be on the market within the hour.
