That looks like it may be a Miller replacement of some kind of single trigger that had the trigger in the left slot and a selector slide in the right.

That thing is BEAUTIFUL- Rube Goldberg on steroids. Quite the creative mind at work. Some of these triggers really are works of art in and of themselves. Hope you get it working.

Drew.....thanks for posting the pictures I took 1 year ago when my guy was replacing the top latch spring. He got it back together then and it worked fine until this summer when the stock came loose. Now, he can't seem to get it back as it was.

I'm puzzled about the R stamped in front of the trigger slot. I haven't seen that in the Remington book anywhere.

Also the trigger is mechanical when it is working. The dished safety behind the top lever select's which barrel fires first. Pushed forward....right barrel fires first and pushed to the rear, then the left fires first; followed by other barrel if trigger pulled again. Center spot is safe. With snap caps in place, both barrels will snap accordingly and the caps are ejected together or singley, if only one barrel is pulled.

This is a fun gun to shoot, 30" barrels choked mod/full but works well on Sporting for me with RST 7/8 oz. loads. Steel barrels too with dished rib and ivory beads. It's a 1907 manufacture.

I started a thread re single trigger 1900's well over a year ago and got a hit from a fellow in El Paso with pictures of his trigger design, not even close to what I have. So, I'm hopeful to hear from someone who may have some info on these designs and MAYBE even some directions or help. Well, there ya have it.

My thanks to everyone who has responded and particularly to Drew. Fingers crossed here ya know....

Here is a Remington Hammerless Double trigger plate with a push button selector single trigger I picked up off ebay some years ago --

Doesn't match any patents in my notebook?
