Hello Peter. I don't know of any Ross Seyfried load data for 10 ga, but there is quite a bit of load data put together by Sherman Bell. If memory serves, the full set is in a database accessible from the Remington collectors website.

Oh and welcome to forum!

Hi Peter. I think you're confusing Seyfried with Sherman Bell. He did extensive load testing on short 10s and published some of it in The DGJ years ago. I was shooting a short 10 at the time, and corresponded with him about the loads, utilizing some of them for my gun. Some were target loads and some were buffered bismuth loads. I killed ducks with them in AR back then.

Maybe someone could reference the back issues that contained the data. It would take me quite some time to look back through all of mine to find them, but I will if no one has that information available.

Stan,
Perhaps I can help. Checking my bookshelf, I came upon the DGJ autumn 2000 volume.2 issue 8. Sherman Bell's article entitled "Finding out for myself" is on page 19 and discusses loading for the 10 ga. shells.

Thanks, Karl. You da man.

Seyfried has written numerous pieces on lightweight 10 ga. guns, and using them on phez and ducks, but I was sure it was Bell who wrote about loading them.

All my best, SRH
