Excellent, good read on Forsyth, though I had to click a few times before the English version opened.

Thanks.

Full text of the article. The fragments published earlier deleted. I will be grateful for remarks.

The incredible variation in early percussion firearms is hard to fathom. So many competing designs, so many fresh ideas, all in guns hand-built without the benefit of yet-to-come steam-powered machinery. Thank you for your combined article, which sets out the main players and their accomplishments. Sadly these early guns are rarely seen and handled, and few are on display anywhere.

I know how hard it is to build an understandable narrative from gun patents, advertisements and makers' claims! I commend you for your work and research. I wish I could read the article in its original language, but I still gleaned a lot from the translation.

Thank you for sharing your work on this site.
