Stan, I have no doubt that BrentD will thank you for that advice by soon showing his displeasure with you, as he has done so often.

The advice I gave to BrentD was more fitting I think. Tough to forget his cowardly doxxing and immature one-child campaign to try to get people to withhold support for this forum this past Spring.

By the way, what are your thoughts on "screw tempering"???? Hahahaha... I like mine tempered to a dark straw color in case I want to sharpen them and use them as a center punch.

Screws are in the mail. Interestingly, they cautioned me that the three screws are not identical. Indeed, two measure 0.1100" in diameter and the third measures 0.1045" Not noticeable until I tried putting them in the wrong holes.

An Ex-1 Easy Out lived up to it's name. Piece of cake.

Brent,
You might try Victor Machinery Exchange ( www.victornet.com 1-800-723-5359). They have a nice selection of special size taps and dies, as well as screw sizes. If you can't remove the broken screw any other way, they also have small left hand twist drills. If you have to make a new one, I suggest hardening and drawing it back to "straw" or maybe "blue".
Mike
