Anybody else get their catalog yesterday? I sure like that old Boss. Also the Dickson pair are sweet.

Lot 144 - Parts to build a 4-bore double barrel Hammer gun. E.M. Reilly action, with underlever, fore-end, iron trigger plate, hammers, etc. All you need is the Stock and Barrels. I won't ever shoot a 4-bore - ever. But there are people that want one and here is the chance!! George L is the only person I know of on DGS who has one.
Here is what Gavin sent me about the action - at least one person in the "Trade" believes Reilly made the action: As you can see from the hi res image, it is just a kit of unfinished parts, in the white. It has come from someone in the trade who refers to it as the “Reilly” action and insisted that I refer to is as such…. but of course it impossible to prove that this unfinished action is originally from the Reilly works. There are no marks or identifying numbers I am afraid.

I noticed that the auction now list bore size versus in the past where they mentioned minimum wall thickness, why the change?

It's easier to get the bore size than it is to get the wall thickness.

MWT is a much more useful number to me. Pity.

There is a really nice DMB 12 bore. Low box lock estimates. Unfortunately the sterling recently rose sharply against the Pound on refreshed Brexit hopes.

I saw that. The exchange rate lift has increased costs for Americans. Serendipitously, I left funds there when a shooting holiday was canceled. I topped off my account at around $1.20, now I see we are at $1.32 again.
There are some toys in this go round I need to look more closely at.
Out there doing it best I can.
