If you are looking to restore your 1894 (Marlin, right? wink ), you might consider these guys. These are very closely cut stocks and only take a minimum amount of fitting. If it is original configuration you want, this will get you there.

PS. They do Winchesters too, should you be so unlucky. smile

Thanks Brent, looks like a possible solution.
I should have provided a little more information. My rifle is a Winchester 1894 saddle ring carbine with a straight grip and a crescent butt made in 1901. At some point in its long life a 1895 butt was installed.
I am hoping to find a used stock to fit up as a new stock will look out of place.
Hoping to find a pre 1937 butt stock in decent condition. Will then sell the 1895 stock with the crescent butt.

As far as I know I am a member in good standing. Recently I sold my unfired 20 gauge Superposed and sent in a $20.00 donation a little more than the suggested $12, but did so as a reflection on my appreciation. I have made multiple donations in the past.

I posted that WTB a butt stock for a 1894. I thought this fell under the follow of “Other Fine Firearms” being it was a 119 year old classic.

“ Quote” Please submit only break open, double barreled, multi-barrel sporting guns and other fine firearms.
(Hint: A Remington 870 in NOT a fine firearm. An engraved Winchester Model 12 Skeet may be!)

My posting got moved.

I Guess I was in error to post under the For sale and WTB area but seems logical place to inquire for a part since I have seen book, magazines, recoil pads, model 12’s, gun case, dog trailers, etc for sale.

By the way I would be happy to send in another $20 to support this forum had I found a butt stock.

Anyway my posting gets moved, and once again a posting, this one “ Mine” gets dragged into the sewer.

Keith I don’t wish to have my posting trashed due to your personal vendetta against others or them against you on this forum.

I don’t wish to be part of the Monkey troop throwing poop at each other.

For the most part I’m easy going and try to treat others respectfully until they F..k with me.
If I have misspelled a word, used improper sentence structure, or bad grammar I don’t care. I’m not here taking an English test.

I want to thank those who offered some helpful information.

Now this posting can be locked and I will try to find a butt stock else where.
