Killing time the other night and I stumbled across a "The Gun Shop" or TGS videos on youtube. The channel is produced by a Gun Shop out of Southampton, United Kingdom.

They produce a bunch of videos on all things firearms and appear to be quite knowledgeable, but hey I'm not an expert so what do I know.

The video that particularly caught my eye was a three-part series about shooting steel shot through a side by side. Their videos are quality productions and I suspect may interest some of the folks who kill time kicking around here in the forum.

Here's the link to the first steel in sxs video. Curios to see what folks think about the third video especially.

Cheers!

I will be down that way later in the year and may have a look in at this gun shop. Still won't be using steel in my English guns though. Will use Standard 2 3/4" steel in an old 3 inch magnum BSA that I had bored to 1/2 x 1/2 without too much fear but there the line will be drawn. I bought a French O/U and a Winchester SX4 for when I need to use steel; both steel shot magnum proof. I will be interested to see how the 2 1/2" steel shot ammo goes as it will have to go through exhaustive testing and Proof tests. However I doubt it will have much stopping power except at moderate range. Time will tell! Lagopus…..
