Ted, I was going to suggest that someone suspend his poetic license.

Re pi: Iowa State University used to put on a big student-run celebration in the spring called Vieshea. Was a long-standing tradition; excuse for a multi-day party. Finally cancelled when the students got a bit too frisky.

Anyhow, it was tradition for the math majors to compute pi out to hundreds of places and run around the outside of their building with the very long sheet of paper.

I was saddened to learn of Miller's passing & the thread was already closed when I did, but Joe Woods & some others spoke for me, sentiment wise. I valued his presence here. And the metrics of any math regarding his absence leaves us diminished.
