I have a Laurona made "Sears, Ted Williams" O/U. Double triggers, pretty plain but nicer than most other Sears marketed gunsI've seen. Does anyone have a suggestion on when they were marketed by Sears? I'm guessing 60's. Thanks in advance

The proof marks will tell you exactly when it was made.
Look up Spanish shotgun date codes.

Date code shows it to be 1974. It is a nice gun, other than a couple of shelf dings it looked totally unused when I bought it in a pawn shop a few years ago. I shot maybe 12 shells out of it, performed flawlessly, patterned well, too. The average person that would see it would assume it was brand new. The price was so right that I couldn't pass her up. Besides, I have lots of Ted Williams shells, though they are mostly 16 gauge shells.

I'm not sure yet. I do have 2 Grandkids coming up and I have to figure out who should get what. But, I'm leaning towards starting them both off on sxs's. Unless there is significant value to it there's no rush on my end. It does kinda go well with my Laurona sidelock.

I think Laurona guns are quite underrated.
I have a few and they have double single triggers. The triggers are recoil set, pull one trigger and rap the butt and try it again.
They are just about bomb proof and much nicer in fit and finish than most bargain Spanish offerings (in my opinion).
