I'm into binging on Netflix so much I have little 'good' stuff left to see. I was watching Warrior Nun and in the 9th episode they show the muzzle of a sawed off pump gun they were shooting buck shot out of. The barrel walls look to be about a 1/4 inch and the gauge perhaps 28.

I'm just wondering if in the reality of trench guns, etc. there is such a beast or this is just a movie prop gone wrong?

Haven't seen it. But have you binged Peaky Blinders? There are a lot of examples of nice English firearms on it save for the Thompsons and Tommy's 1911.
