Dave has consented to my listing this rifle for sale here.

It's a custom Martini Cadet .25-20. 26 inch octagon barrel. Redfield Model 75 target sight with front globe. Unertl style scope bases. Case colored breech block and lever. Rest of the rifle is blue. Mirror bore. It shoots very well with 86 grain cast bullets. Weight is approximately 6-1/2 pounds. LOP is 13-3/4 inches over a checkered steel butt plate.

Please let me know if you have any questions or want any additional photos.

$1500 plus S&I. FFL or C&R required.

Nice gun. I've always thought a .25-20 would be a great match for a small Martini. But which .25 is it? The shorter stubbier one based on the .32-20 case or the longer barely bottlenecked .25-20 Singleshot. Either would be an interesting version.

Brent:

It is the .25-20 WCF, which is the shorter 32-20 based case.

And WAY easier to find or form cases for.

It's a nice rifle.

Thanks. It is. I just struggle with iron sights, even peep sights, these days.

I to have that problem. The fact of growing old, which I do not do gracefully. One helpful work around for me has been using 0.5 or 0.75+ diopter glasses. I buy cheap safety glasses with those corrections over the entire lens. Not good enough to read with, but good enough that I can see front sight and target when looking through the rear aperture. You might give it a try for about $10.

Thank you

Mike:

I do not know. It stabilizes 86 grain cast bullets at subsonic speeds if that helps. I shot it at an indoor ASSRA match using such loads.
