Hitting the road tomorrow. Have some painful goodbyes to make first, but there will be grouse waiting for me afterwards. Hope I still remember how to do it all. I sure will miss all the mask wearing and the traffic here....not. I pray that 2 weeks of walking in the northwoods buys me a little peace and perhaps...some clarity. Some fresh walleye and bacon-wrapped grouse breasts would be nice as well.

I don't plan on social distancing from the grouse this year! Best wishes for a safe and rewarding trip Lloyd. Karl

Have a safe trip, Lloyd. It has been unseasonably cold up there this week, might cut some leaves earlier then normal, and, of course, the bugs are history. Grouse season doesnt open until the 19th. If I make it up, it will be later, rather than sooner. Be well.
Best, Ted

i did look it up...interesting bit of boundary gerrymandering... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northwest_Angleas the canadian border is closed, looks like the only way to get there is to fly in?
