Festivus for The Lovely Linda and me means whole quail and pheasant breasts, pan fried, en casserole with many wonderful accompanying ingredients. Festivus, December 23, is a day to get away from the commercial Christmas hilarity, at least for a day. Quail and pheasants for Festivus supper is a good attempt.

Some here would opine that this post has nothing to do with Doubles or classic firearms and should be removed!!!!

Mae cooked pheasants- butterflied cut, wrapped in bacon, apple slices and onion slices, served with wild rice, mushrooms, artichoke hearts with drawn butter, French bagucutte (sic) toasted bread, and a Caesar salad-- A nice slightly chilled Lambrusco- c'est bon!!Joyeaux Noel!! Le Reynard..
