Shotgunjones is right, it's a Zabala made gun. It's the same A&D action and engraving pattern that Zabala made for their Brittany series (Imported by, American Arms, Tristar and Charles Daley). I believe the only difference is the wood quality is a tad better. Weatherby only marketed this gun for a very short time and dropped them over quality control. Fausti then made the Orion series SxS after they dumped Zabala.

I don't want to piss on any ones parade, but $1825 for a Zabala!!! It's not a common gun (from Weatherby that is), but geez, I can't see why even a Weatherby marked gun is worth that much!

Best,

Greg

It might have been before they started writing on it.

The 'lettering' on the barrels looks like it was done in occupied Japan.

Not to mention the way they worked over the action flats with a pin punch.

Good grief.

I wouldn't even let a gamekeeper leave home with that gun until that recoil pad was finished off down to wood level. Good grief.

And the checkering looks like death eating a cracker.

I love the white glove treatment. Checkering looks ok, it's the pattern that screwy.
