The Classic Doubles brochure states "Sporter comes with quick detachable stock system and a special 'T' wrench, offering the flexibility desired by competitive shooters". I find a 5mm AF hex fits the bolt perfectly, (no different than my Perazzi) but it won't move by hand torque. The gun functions perfectly, I don't want to make a problem where there is none; if it ain't broke don't fix it. The "quick detachable" makes me wonder if there is a trick here. A 70+ Jeepster, I've been getting frozen screws out for a long time. Is there anything special?

I know nothing about the gun you have, but it would be worthwhile to check if the bolt is lefthand threaded.

Thanks. That would be cruel. Classic Doubles were the last hurrah of the Winchester-Kodensha plant after Winchester bailed. O/U's based on the 101, also have an O/U and SxS in 20 ga when Jaquas and GU bought their inventory. This recent acquisition bugs me no end that I can't get a looksee inside. Just want to talk to someone who knows the Sporter model's attachment. Without that, I'll just keep shooting it 'til something goes wrong. Pray that there's no red Loctite in there.
