9372,
Antique reloading tools will be hard to find and will likely take time, unless you are willing to to spend more than they are worth. However you can load perfectly useable ammo and enjoy your drilling while searching. The first step is to "slug" your barrel, they vary wildly in groove diameter( from about .358" to .368") and you might be able to use commonly available bullets. When I started loading the 9.3x72, I used my 9.3x74R dies as "neck sizing" dies, with the expander removed, and expanded / deprimed by hand with shop made expander made to fit a .364" bullet. I know it's hard to believe, but not everyone has 9.3x74R dies. With careful adjustment and a shellholder that fits, you can likely use 35 Rem./ 358 Win./35 Wh. modern dies. This would allow you time for your search.

Hi! Thank you, I slugged the bore, and made a cast. Bore is 9,30-9,34mm, chamber is slightly larger, rim - 12,5mm,base-11mm, I think is 9.3x72r-D. I am waiting for die sets but it can take few months.I got 13,2g. 366 round nose bullets and old type 72U 14,9g flat nose . 364 with .375 driving band/stopping ring. I was thinking to load 14,9g bullets with black powder. I do have challenger press, factory crimping dies, many load data. If you have any sugestions, information, please let mé know. Ánd once more Thank you.

9372,
I can't help you much with your plan to use black powder, as I don't use it in my German rifles, but I'm sure others here can help. It seems you are a little concerned that your chamber is a little larger. This is very common and results from comparing the diameter of a cartridge base with the diameter of the chamber at the same location. A chamber must be larger than the cartridge, otherwise it will not enter. How much larger varies between makers and it seems older chambers are often larger than newer ones. Your chamber does not seem to be unusually large and I would not be concerned about it. It seems that you have done your research and have the project pretty much "in hand".

My bore mics .364 and .344, very tall skinny lands. I use Buffalo Arms bullets that are a two step bullet same as factory S&B ammo. I have a .358 200gr bullet mold that I'm going to paper patch up to .364 and try that. I have patch patterns cut and have patched a couple but haven't fired them yet.

I would have bought the components to just to get the molds.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.
