Bingo- we have winner- How in the blue bonnet blazes can a major auction house that specializes in high end guns make a FUBARed ID like that. I am not a Fox gun guy, but I'm guessing that is a 12 gauge high grade Fox shotgun, it's a rare .410 bore Parker like I'm Elton John's piano tuner. Now as to the prize- still working on that, but Bill, if you can spot the error I mentioned in the Madis M12 book, I'll gift wrap it for you. Fair enuf?? RWTF

Dang- any other book in my gunning library except my Gene Hill books and the Madis M12- I'll send you a PMS of the listing of books you can choose from- and since you are a gentleman, with eagle eyed vision for details, I'll give you (and anyone else here on Dave's playground) the answer. Madis was a perfectionist, top engraver for 30 years at WRA-here's the answer and an easy mistake to make--page 148- actress and damn good looking Blonde with an sweet M12 Trap gun (similar to mine) her last name is spelled "Sothern", not "Southern"-- a Sun Valley resident and a real first class Trap shot, just as Gary Cooper's wife Veronica "Rocky" was a CA State Ladies skeet champion- back in the era of Hollywood celebrities who enjoyed the Sun Valley Resort (as did Ernest Hemingway- "There you have it"-- I'll need your shipping address, and I'll send you a list of books from which you may choose one- OK?? Oh, kudoes to the K-Man who nailed the Lewis gun/Jap MG fiasco- but as the DoubleGunShop deals in double shotguns, and not WW1 Class 3 relics, I stepped over that and went to the A.H. Fox-Parker Bros. mix-up. Makes me kinda wonder just how legit RIA might be in terms of their sales and advertising policies- They have never heard of proofreading copy I might guess. RWTF

No- not the DHE .410-- the DHE .410 with the single trigger-the shotgun shown on page 12 is clearly NOT a Parker, of any grade or gauge- where is the recessed hinge pin on this gun, which sure as hell looks like an A,H, Fox- not sure of the grade, but you can bet your ass it ain't a Sterlingworth. My guess-- a grade DE,and most likely in 12 gauge. Other than the H&H 12 bore with case and etc- this Fox is the most desirable of all the double guns shown on page 12- IMO. RWTF
