II obtient une médaille d'or à l'Exposition de Paris en 1937. En 1967, son apprentis puis compagnon, Georges Granger, lui succède jusqu'en 1993. Georges Granger est successivement Meilleur ouvrier de France en 1968, Maitre-Artisan en 1978 et lauréat des Métiers d'Art en 1979. Richard Lévy, lui aussi apprentis puis compagnon de Georges Granger lui succède à son tour en 1993.
