Note that the tube was tapped twice for a solid projectile and too it has an Express Proof.

The GB text calls it a 6.4x47, however Jtplumb is correct, it is nominally a 6.5X57R. The 6.4 is the bore (not groove or bullet diameter, which should be around 6.7mm) diameter. As far as the 47 is concerned, GB just mis-read the 57. The proof houses didn't mark the R because that would be obvious from the rim recess in the extractor. The 6.5X 57R is an excellent cartridge and very useful for deer size game. Mike
