Passed away earlier this month.
Ex Purdey, the last of our true English trained gunsmiths.
I do believe a few on this board knew him, who may not be aware of his passing.

RIP. David Trevallion knew him at Purdey's before David left for Chicago and Robert for NZ. He said that unlike the other's at Purdey at the time, Robert was well-educated and took some heat at the shop due to Brit class-consciousness. I have documented a Reilly SN 35292 made in 1901 but rebarrelled by Robert - the ad says it may have been Robert's personal gun. Sad news. Not may left. I'll call DT to let him know.
