I replaced the right firing pin on my old Austrian hammer gun, thinking that was the reason it was not firing the right barrel. Yesterday, the right hammer cocked, but the trigger is frozen and will not release the hammer. I tried pulling the hammer farther back to get it to release the trigger, no luck. Looks like another trip to the gun plumber. Does anyone have a gunsmith they would recommend?

If you remove the locks and compare the right one with the left, you may be able to see the problem. Another possibility is shrinkage of the wood in the stock due to age. Sometimes it takes a small shim between the stock and top tang or trigger plate. Be sure to use a screwdriver that fits, even if you have to grind/file one.
