That serial number chronology was assembled by the late Charles Semmer for his book, Remington Double Shotguns, which anyone playing in the Remington double gun game should have. The chronology was assembled from surviving shipping records at Ilion. To date no production records have surfaced. I feel the chronology may overestimate production. After decades of recording serial numbers of observed guns, the highest serial number I've observed is 394397.

Same for the graded Remington Hammerless Doubles A- to EEO-Grade. Charles' chronology goes up to 141194. The highest serial number I've recorded is 139928, and then six Krupp barrel guns from 140663 to 140678.

Thanks Dave,
In my search for info I did find ,and It looked to be from Remington arms official website that 99,000 guns were produced.
The gun I have belonged to the father of my lifelong friend from High School we hunted all kinda creatures back in the day... I am and always will be a duck gunner first.....he went the way of the Buck... but we still have fun hunting either together
