I appreciate the service of those of you that served. My local Americal legion Post is having a wreath laying ceremony at the memorial to the county's war dead, in front of the courthouse. Family and school friend's names are on the memorial, that is where they live now. There are memorials like that, all over the country. Take a little time and visit our heroes, that is not much to ask, after they died for us. Mike

Too few understand that Memorial Day is for those who served and died so we can have freedom and all that we have. God bless them and I thank them for their sacrifice.

I was recently at a veterans cemetary for a service. It's always quite moving to slow down a bit, and read the inscriptions. Stars and stripes forever.
