I have to install new ejector spring and guide rod in a 20 Ga Superposed.
any tips on getting that rod and spring to compress to get into its recess and detent spot?

Never mind. I found the factory Superposed manual and photo of the tool i had to make

First make sure the iron is held firmly in a vice .I used a flat bladed screwdriver with a notch cut out to go around the end of the spring guide and pushed very carefully into place sliding down the ejector hammer .I found best to do it side ways on rather than trying to push down .
