An acquaintance is going into a nursing home and wants to dispose of his two .22s. . The top one looks like a Haenel falling block. I'm confused as to what the rolling block action at the bottom is. Any ideas? https://i.postimg.cc/MZ948wrZ/IMG-0612.jpg

Roller looks like a model 7 Remington
If original, it is worth some money.

It looks like a #7, but isn't. It has a brass trigger guard, and several other features tell me it's likely an Italian action used to make up something to look like a #7. It has no milled cut for the tang sight on the top of the grip frame. Also a bit off on the stock shaping. Prongs too long for a #7 also. Still would be a fun gun to own and shoot, even as a copy of the original.

I cannot tell if that is brass or just glare on the trigger guard, but I agree it seems not quite right for a real #7. Could be a home made version. It seems a little long or somehow too big. Might be a home brew approximation. I've seen a few, and it has been a very long time, since I have seen and handled and original.

It’s not a #7, like Vall said. Barrel, looks to heavy, and wood are not correct. No rear frame sight. Upper tang is not shaped correctly, to flat. And, it does not have the correct extractor, no screw top front on the left side. Don’t know what the guard is. Serial number would be another indication. Could also be a converted original RB pistol, which could be the reason for the misshaped top tang since a pistol would need rebending.
I have an original in 25-25 with the pronged butt plate.
Not a bad looking gun though, be a fun shooter for someone. Bob
Actually the more I look at this gun the nicer it looks. It appears to be nicely done.

With this kind of Flip-Flopping, the Nutty Professor should be making policy statements for the anti-gunner Kamala Harris. We certainly don't need a metallurgical analysis to know that trigger guard is brass, and not steel. I did see a resemblance to a rolling block pistol frame, but I try to avoid wild-assed guessing. Nice looking gun though.
A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.

I'm supposed to list them on gunbroker. I hope he will agree to reasonable starting prices. Here are two more: a .22 Martini 12/15 with an Unertl scope, and a Highwall in 219 Zipper. Decent, if dated, woodwork on both guns.

Decent, if dated, woodwork on both guns. To me, the turret and the parallax markings on the objective lens ring look more like a Lyman STS than a Unertl on that Martini. I wish I had not sold my Martini .22. Nice rifles, but hard to sell singleshots these days. Post links when you have them listed and maybe we can spread them around to potentially interested parties.

Unertl scopes have polished aluminum rings. That's not an Unertl scope.
