Canada has become something of a nightmare I fear. I drove up to the Angle of the Inlet (from Warroad) last spring and was shocked by how bad everything looked in the little villages along the way. All the roads were in tough shape and even the police stations and patrol cars looked dingy, rusty, and badly run-down. So sad.
But....there should be a lesson in this for all of us here. If this last election had gone the other way, we would likely be facing similar problems here in the States, and fairly shortly. FWIW: Colorado is going down the Canadian path here right now, with new gun "bans" seemingly weekly. It'd been nice if "MAGA" would have taken root more forcefully here. Hopefully its not too late for Colorado to be "saved". Not so sure about California...

That’s good info, “Pink”. You have me reconsidering any possible thoughts of moving to Winnipeg even though they have a decent hockey club. You e’re bin ta Miss’ssippi?
Colorado gun owners have the second amendment to use against the disarming tactics of the left. It will go to court, be appealed, and the most foolish of the new regs will be tossed.
Canadians, don’t. I don’t believe anyone who is a subject of the crown, does. Look at the bright side, you can drag a flintlock across the border, apparently. Not sure who does that, or, why. Canada, along with every other left leaning, third world hell hole, is dead to me, and they have been for years.
Sorry, they did it to themselves. The wife’s hometown of Bogota, Colombia, is discovering what happens when you elect a narco terrorist to the presidency. Running water and electricity become optional. I have little doubt the locals will rush to the polls to do it again when his term is up.
Idiots.
The plight of Canada isn’t something that happened overnight. Evil, and that is what it is, pure, unadulterated, leftist evil, can only prosper when good men do nothing.
Hang in there Lloyd, but I don't even like to visit family in CO anymore. Even things like excise tax are a slow cancer. I do disagree that 'problems' would be similar. Cackle would be blowing smoke up our, while moving her agendas in the shadows.

Lost to a big public school (Blaine) in the first round. Went 11 and 8 this year.
The basketball team is playing in the State tournament on Tuesday.
My son is signed up for the Trap league again, this year. Went to state last year, lettered on the varsity team his first year. He worked at the gun club for three years before he shot on the school league and had a great feel for the game when he got there.
Best, Ted

Ted, you don't know enough about the country to make a statement like that. Good men have been trying very hard for 45 years but geography and population distribution stymie their efforts.
Imagine the US with 2 Californias, not one. The GOP would never win at the Federal level. Yet there would be vast swaths of America and Americans enraged by their inability to have an electoral voice.
I'm pretty careful about criticizing America unless i know a lot about the particular aspect I am criticizing. And I never make blanket statements characterizing all Americans as though they are all the same. That's good advice.
Oh, and LR.....the Wings suck and Winnipeg still leads the league. But I see you've moved on to the junior leagues. LOL
