Hey all, say, I have a stock that's dull and needs to be refreshed. I heard that Boiled Linseed Oil can improve the looks and cover up some slight scratches etc.

I was wondering if this really works and do you have any tricks or tips? Or, something else that works

I don't want to strip the stock, just an easy way to refresh it

Thanks so much

Greg

The most important thing is to put it on very lightly. You can put just a drop at a time on and spread it out with your palm. It really takes very little. If you get it on too thick just wipe it off with a rag. You won't remove all of it this way but leave a very little bit. Remember to dispose of your rag properly. The oil can oxidize and cause a fire under certain conditions. I'm sure others will chime in.
