I have not seen it mentioned on here. Unless I missed it. The new Remington 1816 Precision side by side shotgun in 20 gauge. I saw one in a store today and it looked like a nice gun. Case hardened, Splinter forend, Single trigger. POW stock. Turkish walnut wood. https://imgur.com/a/9q87a3x" barrels. 3"chambers. 5 interchangeable chokes. They also make an O/U, too. Around $2000.00. Has anybody bought one yet?

I'd be interested in hearing from someone who has dropped snap caps into one of the new Remingtons. And before someone accuses me of being prejudiced against Turkish shotguns. Wrong! But I am prejudiced against heavy trigger pulls. When SKB was selling shotguns made in Turkey, I checked trigger pulls on several of them. I didn't find any that I would have rejected based on the trigger pull. But I've found enough with trigger pulls that approach being off the scale that I'm not about to assume that they're OK without
checking. And unless they've changed their policy, Cabela's Gun Libraries won't let you use snap caps to check any of their guns. I bought a lot of sxs from Cabela's in the past, but I won't anymore. I've yet to have a snap cap go off on me. And they're also useful to check out ejectors. Trigger work isn't cheap.

Maybe not "next", but sometime in our lifetimes, Purdey will offer a Turkish gun.

Interesting name. Wonder if somehow 1816 is to represent the year? Could just as well call it 2025 Precision.

It's not about trigger pulls at this point.

It's about Erdogan and his regime.

It never ceases to amaze me that people who call themselves Christians still send money to that country.
