In the meantime i did a bit of research and found out that these guns were recently built in Spain for the German gun dealer Frankonia Jagd (formerly Waffen-Frankonia). In their 2000 catalog the price was 3000 DM (1500 euros, or over $2000 by current rate). A couple of users said the workmanship is good. I wonder which Spanish maker actualy made Denia doubles?
The used specimen ilustrated above was sold today in Germany for under $700.

About the right price..//European guns are much more over here because the importers/dealers are makeing rather large profits...look at German made Merkels as an example...you can get them for 1/2 the US price in Germany....and granted the importer is friendly but they dont even provide a FULL service gunsmithing service for the more major problems that might occur.if you need a new stock, barrel fitted, or even a new screw engraved...its back overseas to the factory.

Alot of Sanish guns have makers marks on the barrel flats. the following site has several listed. The later gun will have the mark in front of the serial # http://personales.jet.es/rafa/b_punzones.html
