Thanks for the compliments guys.
The basic gun is a 1905 GH, 12ga, #1 frame, 28" bbls. 6 1/2 lbs. that I paid way too much for from Wildwood some yrs ago. There was a fly in the purchase in that it had a broken stock when I got it out of 4473 jail, which neither Wildwood nor the recieving FFL claimed any knowledge. I waited enough years that the hurt went away.
The work was done by a friend that wishes to stay anonomous. He did all the work including stocking it, making some new screws, prepping the metal and coloring the barrels. The frame, forend iron were recased by Turnbull, the guard was charcoal blued by Turnbull.
That piece of wood is from another friend ,locally, that I shot skeet with. He had two blanks from the old downtown Pachmyr store from over 30 yrs ago. Stock dimensions are 1 1/2" x 2 3/8" no cast, 14 1/2" LOP. The other blank is being used for a AE Fox 12ga. My supply of whiteline spacers dried up and I didn't want to impose on any of you guy's supply, knowing how much some of you covet them, so I went ahead without one. Besides, like Mr Ken said, I probably couldn't afford a vintage whiteline. Buttplate is a Galazan repro.
The engraving was in very good shape and not worn and didn't need to be picked up except for the new screws.
Those phez have been standing still for over a year now.
