I did another Parker straight stock from a very close machining job and it was pretty straight forward. I'm still not finished with the forend and it's been set aside for a long time now. More winter/summer projects.
On the Fox, the same craftsman that did this Parker is doing the stocking from bandsaw to chisle and finishing. The blank on this Parker and the Fox I picked up from a friend for $500 for the pair a couple yrs ago.
Well after some cleaning of the rust and crud between the ribs, great news! No pitting. Whew! That was my biggest fear.
Here's the so called "keel". Seems like such a large name for such a small part. Something like "nib" would seem more fitting.
