I dislike the loss of picture width. I had been getting away with 750 pixels but this is bound to cut it down to 500 pixels (without left to right scrolling).

Unlike Playboy, the pictures are my favorite part of this BBS.

Best,

Mike

Gentlemen...just trying to enhance site.

The calendar and seach boxes were my primary concerns as several people had asked for both. The calendar is very useful especially for those who want to put in an event. And about 4 billion individuals have asked about a more apparent search option.

The users and stats are just there to fill in dead space below the requested items (make it look a bit more symetric).

None of the little lefty islands takes up any significant bandwidth and honestly it doesn't look half bad!

Please give it a chance.

Hi Dave,
How about the limit on doing searches on the classified site? After one try, we have to go away for an unspecified time before we can make another search. Wouldn't it make more sense to be allowed unlimited searches? How about the meaningless chatter that is allowed on the classified site? It looks like another forum! Wheeling and dealing should be done privately, with direct e-mails, not on-line. On-line replies to classified ads should not be possible. JMO, of course.

Dave,

You must understand there are few less modern type groups of men than a group devoted to old doubles. These guys think that screw in chokes are near the end of the world. New formats will take the a while to adjust to. After 30 years of marriage I can ignore anything if I need to and do not find the new changes that big of a deal.

I confess that I find it irritating. Then again, I once considered becoming a Ludite but ultimately decided they were too progressive for my taste.

The loss of image width is the only real issue. Is there any chance we could have it on the thread index page and not on the page that displays a specific thread? That would seem to be the best of all worlds.

Either way, thanks for the site.

Glenn

Just found out that I am listed as anonymous. So many people wish that were true, numerous others wish I was dead. The only problem I foresee is that should you wish to print an article you will have column inches of trivia. Not exactly environmentally friendly old chap, What? Chin, Chin, Ta Ta for now, off for a Pimms at the Club. What?
