I don't know who took these pictures but I was told they were taken at Palo Duro Canyon:

Makes me want to keep my turdhounds locked up in the house!

Why would they all be collected in one hole?
Nasty looking cretters!

Rattlesnakes den up in the Winter. I wonder if these pics. were taken as they were emerging from their dens in the Spring.
BTW: Any "expert" will tell you there's nothing to fear in January/February in Arizona as the Rattlers are hibernating. Except no one apparentely told the one I had a confrontation with down in the Eloy area in February a few years ago that he was supposed to be hibernating.

The soil and rocks sure don't look like Palo Duro, but wherever they are I am glad that they are there and not here.

My buddy in Georgia used vitamin C to save one of his dogs that was bitten on the muzzle by a small rattler. Here's the link...believe it or not.

Palo Duro Canyon, indeed!
Whoever said that was where the pictures were made, has never been to Palo Duro Canyon!

More than a few of those snakes are Crotalus Scutulatus or Mojave Rattlesnakes. They are found in Texas but only the south west portion of the state near Mexico and New Mexico. -JB

JB:How can you tell there are Majaves in that bunch. I thought the tail was the only real indication of Mojave vs. Diamond Back. thanks.
