Every time a gun hits their site or Gunsinternational, it's gone by the time I call to buy it. And I call as soon as the guns hits either site.
This is really starting to annoy me. Why the H are they listing them if they're already sold??
And who is beating me to them? I'm calling on these guns within hours of them appearing on Cabelas.com or Gunsinternational.com.
How are other people beating me to them? Is Gunsinternational filtering stuff to other people? Is something up?
I'm beginning to think that I'm being jerked around by these guys.
Thanks. Sorry to vent.

It does seem strange--I have seen the same thing happen. Although, there are other guns that seem to have been on their website forever--maybe just the stuff that catches everyone's eye goes quick. But are the buyers psychic--do they call before the guns get listed?

If you visit a Cabelas Gun Library and get to know a Sales Specialist you can get information about the availability of guns as soon as they come into the store.

I've had the same thing happen with Cabelas numerous times...and when you do get one of the sales guys on the phone you'll be lucky if he knows which end the bullet comes out.

i'm not cabelas biggest fan but fair is fair, and perhaps the one here in FW is a cut above some of the others. so far i've found most of their gun dept people, except the occasional one working the new gun counter who'd be better off in shoes, to most definitely know which end the bullet comes out of. i've now bought i think 17 from them tho just off the used rack, not the library, and i've not paid sticker price for a single one so i know their prices can be changed. i tried unsuccessfully to trade one time and while i left with what i carried i can honestly say they didn't totally pi$$ me off which is more than many dealers could do.
and so far, using their bonus bucks, credit card points, etc i've got at least 3 guns that are completely free if i assign even a conservative value to the remainder. you have to go there a lot, pay attention, know what you're looking at and use their perks. just like any other gun dealer anybody can name. n

We have a local chain of about ten stores that now has an online gun list, and while the webmaster is posting the guns on their site, the good ones get grabbed by walk-in customers. I suspect the same thing happens with Cabela's. Those stores get a lot of traffic, and good stuff will go quickly if it's priced right.
With Guns International, I suspect dealers put up some guns just to draw calls, even if the gun has already been spoken for but not yet transferred. Then they leave the guns up for way too long.

I don't know. Every time I see a gun I want, it's gone by the time I call. And like I said, I call within a few hours of these things hitting the internet. And this is usually before these ever hit Cabelas.com.
I think something is up. Either the guys at Gunsinternational.com are filtering stuff to people, or the guys at Cabela's are posting stuff that is already sold and wasting my time.
Either way, I'm annoyed. I WANT THOSE GUNS!!
Whaaaaa!

OWD, I hear you, but... You're not the only one with an internet connection. When Cabela's posts a good deal (which they occaisonally do) we all see it. I spent 1/2 a day mulling over a good deal on a nice used boxlock on Cabela's two weeks ago and 1/2 a day was too long. The posting in Gunsinternational lags behind the Cabelas website which lags behind the store showing. Run with the Crocks is .... [edit] bleh, you guys know what he is. [/edit]

You better be happy with what you got with Cabela's! A big store selling what you like, six days a week.
