The Jaeger 1903 rifle arrived at my FFL... got to give Griffin & Howe props for the packing job... rifle was well protected. Did the paperwork and now I have to wait another 14 days to "cool off" before I can bring it home. The military barrel was completely buffed, so no markings show (hoped for star gauge) under the stock. Only "30-06" on left side of barrel in front of receiver. Bolt isn't numbered to action. No marks in the bolt channel. Under the butt plate is stamped "FRV" and "62 2". Michael Petrov vol. 2 identifies the initials to Jaeger's stock maker Fritz R. Voigt. The Lyman 48 sight body is unmarked. Sight slide & channel both have "K-45" markings. Sling swivels are marked "Jaeger". Bore is pristine. The white lines on the stock appear to be drywall/paint impact marks.
