Rocketman, Drew, et al. - New to me SxS. I've bided my time on this gun and it finally came up for adoption! Not sure, but we think it is a Wilmart. I thought that once I was able to source the maker from some info on Google, but now I can't replicate it.

So, proof year would seem to be 1926. Second mark down on the barrel flats should be the proof house master's code, but it looks like an A E merged together which I can't reference. The name on the rib would seem to be the retailer in Paris as opposed to a maker. There is a * over an M on the barrels (clue I can't decipher) and the stamp on the standing breech/face is EM. W The letters on the action flat in the diamond are MC and both sides look like they were double struck so the blur in the picture is not all my fault!!

Links to my photobucket are in the next post down....this is the best I could do with my limited skills.

Any help reading the tracks around the watering hole would be appreciated!!
