I bought this gun sight unseen from Simpsons for less than $200. It's a Sears 101.1 or something, but I believe it was a project gun for a student for a gunsmith course because of the quality of the gun. The bluing is definitely not Stevens/Savage, it's perfect, the stock is plain walnut and finished great, it has a Neidner style steel butt plate and the case is perfect. I say a "student" gun because it's very well re-done. But I'm just guessing.

A friend did the checkering for me for free. It ain't pretty, but it's a fine 16 gauge shotgun which appears to be about three steps above a Sears basic shotgun.
