Just bought a 16 ga WJ Jeffery Boxlock ejector circa 1930's. Great shape and condition..
Gun was completely disassembled and ultra sonic cleaned. Have shot several rounds of skeet with RST light loads and gun functions flawlessly and handles great.
When cleaning however, noticed small amount of light coming in between trigger plate and floor plate (interior). On exterior trigger plate is flush and appears to fit tightly with the floor plate. Can only see slight sliver of light on interior when held up to a bright light.
Is this normal on some guns? Is it a problem that should be checked?
Honestly appears to be a small characteristic of hand machine process in building of this fine shotgun . Just like to hear other forum members experience as this is my first English gun.
