Not to hijack the thread, but I learned the hard way a long time ago to shoot at the turkey's neck instead of his head, Half or more of the pattern goes over his head when you aim at it, not so when you aim at his neck. Shot over/missed a couple in my novice days until my turkey-hunting mentor not so gently identified what I was doing wrong.
