I am fond of my Winchester 23. I use it when I travel by air to hunt or when I am shooting in bad weather. That being said, there are a couple of things I would like to modify about the gun.

I use it a lot for shooting stout waterfowl loads. Therefore, I worry about the head of the stock cracking or splitting. To minimize the chance of a cracked stock head, I would like to have it glass bedded. Also, I prefer a double trigger to a single trigger and want to change the trigger set up.

Because of these desires, I am looking for recommendations for someone to glass bed the head of a stock on a Winchester Model 23.

I would also like to know if anyone has any experience with swapping a single trigger set up in an American market Model 23 for a double trigger set up taken from a European market Model 23. I would like to know if this is a simple swap or a more complex matter requiring significant smithing. I would also like any recommendations regarding a gunsmith to make the trigger swap.
