There was a time many years ago when I felt the same way. I've since changed my mind. It is a reminder, maybe even a symbol, of an era long gone, when the suggestion that this gun kills like lightning would have been much more accepted than it is in our politically correct society today. I have seen lightning bolts on several American made shotgun brands, all of extremely high quality. It's kinda grown on me. I now see it as something uniquely American, and appreciate the design as having been very acceptable in the time it was done.

It's a beautiful Fox, maybe one of the finest I've ever seen, or seen pictures of.The engraving is superb, IMO. A few years ago I handled a Fox Special that rivaled this gun in quality. It had more gold inlay than this one, and was a bit gaudy for me. This one is very tasteful, to my way of thinking.

Thanks for posting it, Josh.
